ABOUT

Joyce Combs has spent the last 35 years expressing her artistic talents showing the complexity of life in layers of time, aging and earthly beauty. She has expressed these elements in her hand- made paper collages, mono prints and large canvases that are enhanced through layers of acrylic paint, collage, enamel, oil washes, inks, prism colors, oil pastels and charcoal. Joyce was born in Southwestern Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University. She attended the Glassell Museum School of Art, the academic wing of the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston, Texas. She continued her studies with the Masters Program of the Santa Fe Institute with Fritz Schoelder and Forest Moses. During Joyce's artistic career, she was blessed to have the opportunity to teach children and adults of all ages the elements and emotion about the magic of placing paint on a blank canvas. Her work is exhibited worldwide...
